Here are some frequently asked questions many of my clients have asked in the past!
WHAT IS REQUIRED OF US TO BOOK?
In order to reserve your date for a wedding or engagement session, I require you to sign a contract via electronically, plus a non-refundable retainer fee: $500 for The Ellie and The Tracy, $1000 for The Paige and The Lilian. Once those two things are done, I do not take ANY other bookings during your wedding day (seriously, that day is for you only) or engagement time slot!
HOW DO WE RESERVE YOU FOR A SESSION OR WEDDING?
Call me, beep me, when you wanna reach me. JK. I don’t have a beeper. BUT I do have an email address, an Instagram, Facebook Page, and a contact page if you want to start the process of booking a session / reserving your wedding date. We can do that either over the phone, in person, or if you’re a shy-guy, we can do email! What works for you, works for me. Simply let me know any information you already have (date, how many hours you’d like to book, etc.) and we can go from there. At that point I will give out my phone number for you to use WHENEVER you need it. Seriously! I’ll be there for you.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR TO OUR ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
I have a blog post going over outfit do’s and dont’s. Generally speaking though, simple or big patterned clothes photograph better than intricate patterns; bold colors like reds, golds, emerald greens, light pinks, and dark blues look gorgeous; and my personal clothing motto: “When in doubt, just wear black.” Part of my services include styling advice and helpful conversations to guide you through choosing the best outfit for your vision.
DO WE GET ALL THE PHOTOS?
Essentially, YES! I don’t edit or deliver photos with bad expressions (though I will absolutely deliver the funny expressions), or duplicates (I take multiple of group shots juuuust in case anyone blinks). But otherwise, you get all the photos. And I don’t set a limit to how many I will deliver. I want you to have as many beautiful, sentimental, and often outrageous moments to cherish as possible from your wedding day!
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE GO OVER THE CONTRACTED AMOUNT OF TIME ON THE WEDDING DAY?
I understand that not everything goes as planned during a wedding. I never leave before the contracted time, and moreover, I’m not leaving the second the contracted time is up. Instead, I will ask you at the end of your time whether or not you would like to extend it. If you would like me to stay, I will charge the rates specified in your contract rounded to the closest 30-minute increment. Currently my rate is $350 per hour.
IF WE CANCEL OUR WEDDING, DO WE GET OUR RETAINER BACK? WHAT IF WE CHANGE OUR DATE?
Unfortunately no. Retainers are used to reserve your date. Once I’ve reserved your date, I do not accept any new clients for that day. As far as date changing, it is a case-by-case basis – and my availability is taken into account. Also, if rates change from your original date to your new date, the new rates will apply (Covid exempt). But if I have the new date available, we can proceed, yay!
DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?
I sure do! I offer $200 off wedding collections and $50 off couple sessions for LGBTQ couples! I also offer a 10% off discount to Teachers, Nurses, and Restaurant workers. (These discounts cannot be combined.) If I am out of your budget and these discounts don’t apply to you, still reach out and I will see what we can do!
